It would appear I have been a little remiss in keeping the Parent Newsletters updated. My humblest apologies for this oversight.
As we prepare for the State Bowl, please take a peek at the newsletters, which can be found under the Parent menu above.
They are also linked here for convenience:
Please take a look at the Winter Synergy and Leadership Newsletter -- MNFPSP is mentioned on page 8.
The Synergy & Leadership Exchange organizes and puts together the annual Reach for the Stars catalog, an annual listing of "academic programs, challenges, competitions, events, and enrichment opportunities endorsed by the Minnesota Academic League Council for Minnesota K-12 students."
The ROCS Handbook files are available to coaches through the secure site. Log in and download them if you need them or want to review them.
Please share it with your friends, coaches, administrators, and others Persons of Interest to the FPS Program in Minnesota. There are some great stories therein -- next year, they could be YOUR great stories therein!
Let the season begin!
The calendar for the 2013-2014 year has been posted. UPDATE: Details for the State Competition are confirmed! The state competition will be at District 12's Centennial Middle School, on March 29, 2014. The calendar file has been updated to reflect this change as well.
This might be the last year we post the calendar as a static file like this. As you may have noticed, the calendar is also fed directly into the widget on the webpage to the right, where it displays upcoming events and, below that, the monthly calendar.
In the future, you may be able simply 'subscribe' to the live calendar, so that if changes need to be made, we can simply update the calendar, and then when you go to look at the FPS calendar, it will update automatically.
Additionally, the calendar and costs file can be found under "What's New?"
Centennial students, grades 4-8, have been developing problem-solving skills through the Future Problem Solving Program (FPSP). Two teams landed an opportunity to advance to the international competition to be held at the University of Indiana in June.
Centennial Schools serves Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes.
Well, it seems that the State Competition has come and gone again for another year.
Our thanks goes out to all who participated, whether as participants, parents, volunteers, evaluators, or whatever -- We THANK YOU!
You may be wondering what the competition results were.
Download them for yourself and have a look-see!
Thanks, and we hope to see you again next year!
