what is fps minnesota?<\/em><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Future Problem Solving (FPS) Minnesota is a non-profit (501c3) educational organization who is passionate about teaching kids how to think, not what to think, via a six-step problem solving process using real-world problems. Students in grades K-12 learn tools to help them create their own positive futures. Both non-competitive and competitive opportunities inspire kids to become agents of change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is FPS?<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Future Problem Solving<\/a> is an international program first started by Dr. E. Paul Torrance<\/a> in 1974. Through a structured six-step process, FPS teaches students how to think, not what to think. By participating in FPS, students embark on a journey to sharpen their critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Developing these skills helps students improve their academic achievement and achieve future goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
